Enterprise UX Strategy
UX Strategy to unify and harmonize diverse products, platforms, and content into a cohesive ecosystem solution.

The Challenge

Xylem's water technology solution portfolio comprised multiple technology stacks, brands, platforms, and siloed experiences, lacking continuity for customers across products.

Vision Strategy

Redundant solutions, misapplied platforms, unscalable implementations, technical debt, and misplaced content have significantly impeded the advancement toward a streamlined experience for Xylem customers. To lay the groundwork for refining Xylem's UX strategy, I conducted an audit of past Xylem product and design initiatives. From this analysis, I synthesized a vision board highlighting:

• Key roadblocks obstructing progress toward a streamlined Xylem customer experience.

• Envisioned outcomes of an improved Xylem customer journey.

• A Solution Map outlining features present across products within the current Xylem portfolio.

Presenting this vision board to stakeholders within the enterprise software team, I advocated for the transformation of Xylem's solution portfolio into a cohesive ecosystem, characterized by:

• A unified suite of Products, Platforms, and Content.

• A complementary array of tailored solutions addressing specific customer needs and markets, unified by a consistent voice, brand, and experience.

• An enhanced avenue for customer satisfaction, solution discovery, and cross-platform synergy, all aimed at "One" Xylem.

A Reimagined Solution Hub

To establish a cohesive ecosystem, it would be pivotal to create a centralized hub for global tasks, features, and content essential to the common, global-level use cases of Xylem customers. Drawing insights from an audit of current Xylem products and feedback from previous UX research engagements, I created a series of concept screens incorporating improved UI patterns and workflows. The screens underscore that a centralized hub presents a prime opportunity to deliver a best-in-class customer experience.

Sharing and Promoting Xylem's Solution Ecosystem

Research, insights, and proposed direction receive positive feedback from Xylem leadership. Documentation is distributed to global product and solution teams to streamline product design direction. Additional resources are allocated to further explore a centralized solution hub, with an increased focus on research and design efforts from the UX team.
