Payment Center
Web-based, device agnostic, responsive platform offering payment processing and online invoicing for business accounting software customers.

The Challenge

Sage Payment Center web application has an outdated, unresponsive design and is not mobile-friendly. Nor does the application utilize the latest Sage design guidelines. The App does not provide useful insights into the health or status of received, processing, or completed payments.

Promoting Responsive Design

In order to promote the benefits of utilizing a new framework for the redesign of the Payment Center application, Webflow is utilized to showcase a proof of concept for a reimagined, responsive application. Following a successful demo featuring the POC running live on desktop, tablet, and mobile devices, team leadership has buy-in on moving to a more modern framework and the team decides to utilize Ionic.

Incorporating Feedback to Highlight Insights

A series of interviews is held in which Payment Center users are prompted to discuss how they actually utilize the current application on a day to day basis. Based on customer response, the application is redesigned to surface the data points and analytics that are most beneficial for providing an overview of the current status of received payments relative to open invoices.
